Biography
Robert Belcher (1910–2000) was an American film and television editor. He received his first credited editor role on the William Wyler-directed drama Friendly Persuasion (1956), working alongside Robert Swink and Edward A. Biery.
Belcher had previously served as assistant editor on Roman Holiday (1953). He later edited the western The Big Country (1958), again for Wyler. His other credits include feature films such as Ace Eli and Rodger of the Skies (1973) and Hex (1973), as well as numerous television series including The Silent Service (1957) and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964–1966).
