Biography
Robert Bloch was an American writer of crime, horror and science fiction. He is best known for his 1959 novel Psycho, the basis for Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 film of the same name.
Bloch wrote three episodes for the original Star Trek series: “What Are Little Girls Made Of?” (1966), “Catspaw” (1967) and “Wolf in the Fold” (1967). He contributed scripts and stories to Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Thriller and other television series, and published numerous short stories and novels.
Bloch received a Hugo Award for his short story “That Hell-Bound Train”. He died in Los Angeles on 23 September 1994.
