Biography
Robert Grubb is an Australian actor born on 31 January 1950 in Hobart, Tasmania. He trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), graduating in 1978.
His film roles include Frank Hawdon in My Brilliant Career (1979), Billy in Gallipoli (1981), and Pig Killer in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985). On television he played Dr Geoffrey Standish in The Flying Doctors (1986–1992) and appeared in series such as Wentworth (2013) and Neighbours.
Grubb has worked extensively in theatre, winning the Helpmann Award for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for his performance as Pop in the Australian production of We Will Rock You.
