Biography
Robert H. Justman was an American television producer and production manager. Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1926, he began working at his family's Motion Picture Center studio in 1950 and progressed from production assistant to assistant director and associate producer on films and series including Adventures of Superman and The Outer Limits.
He served as associate producer on the pilot of Mission: Impossible (1966) and worked in the same capacity, later as co-producer, on Star Trek (1966–1969). He returned to the franchise as supervising producer on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987–1988). Other producing credits include Then Came Bronson (1969–1970) and Search (1972–1973).
Justman co-authored the memoir Inside Star Trek: The Real Story (1996) with Herbert F. Solow. He died in Los Angeles in 2008.
