Biography
Robert Lawrence (9 November 1913 – 19 September 2004) was a Canadian film editor. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he worked in Hollywood from the early 1950s until the late 1980s.
He edited or supervised editing on numerous feature films, including Spartacus (1960), El Cid (1961), 55 Days at Peking (1963), The Fall of the Roman Empire (1964), Is Paris Burning? (1966), Fiddler on the Roof (1971), Never Say Never Again (1983) and Warning Sign (1985). Lawrence received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing for Spartacus.
