Biography
Robert Patten, also credited as Robert F. Patten or Bob Patten, was an American film and television actor. He was born on 11 October 1925 in Tacoma, Washington, and died on 29 December 2001 in Malibu, California.
Patten majored in drama at the University of Washington and served as a navigator in the US Army Air Forces during the Second World War. He began his acting career in the late 1940s, often in uncredited roles, and gained notice for playing Lieutenant Jesse Bishop in the 1949 film Twelve O'Clock High. He appeared in more than 180 productions, with film credits including Airport (1970) and Westworld (1973), and numerous television guest roles in series such as Dragnet, Adam-12, Wonder Woman and Murder, She Wrote.
