Biography
Robert Rodat is an American screenwriter and producer. He was born in Keene, New Hampshire, and studied at Colgate University, Harvard Business School and the University of Southern California.
His screenwriting credits include Tall Tale (1995), Fly Away Home (1996), Saving Private Ryan (1998), The Patriot (2000), The Catcher Was a Spy (2018) and Kursk (2018). He received story credit on Thor: The Dark World (2013) and created the television series Falling Skies (2011–2015) and Those About to Die (2024). His screenplay for Saving Private Ryan earned Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Original Screenplay.
