Biography

Mark Gordon is an American film and television producer. He graduated from New York University Film School and began his career in the 1980s, later founding The Mark Gordon Company (originally co-founded as The Meledandri/Gordon Company in 1987).

Gordon produced the 1994 action film Speed, his company's breakthrough success. His other credits include Saving Private Ryan (1998), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), 2012 (2009), Source Code (2011) and Murder on the Orient Express (2017). He has served as executive producer on television series including Grey's Anatomy (from 2005) and Criminal Minds (from 2005).

Gordon was president of the Producers Guild of America from 2010 to 2014 and is its President Emeritus. In 2015 his company partnered with Entertainment One; he later became president and chief content officer of film and television there before launching Mark Gordon Pictures in 2020.
