Biography
Robert Sheehan is an Irish actor born on 7 January 1988 in Portlaoise, County Laois. He is also credited as Robbie Sheehan and Robert Michael Sheehan. His interest in acting began when his mother took him to an audition for the 2003 film Song for a Raggy Boy. He attended the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology to study film and television before leaving after one year to pursue acting.
Sheehan gained prominence for his role as Nathan Young in the E4 series Misfits (2009–2010). He has since appeared in Love/Hate (2010–2013) as Darren Treacy and as Klaus Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy (2019–2024). Film credits include The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013), Geostorm (2017) and Mortal Engines (2018). He received a BAFTA Television Award nomination for his work in Misfits and multiple Irish Film and Television Award nominations.
