Biography
Roger Parkes was a British television writer. His first script was the episode 'A Change of Mind' for the series The Prisoner (1967). He subsequently wrote episodes for series including Blake's 7 (1978), Survivors (1975), The Bill (1984), The Onedin Line, Doomwatch, Crown Court and Z Cars.
Parkes was born in 1933. He had previously worked as a journalist specialising in crime reporting and as a trainee story editor at the BBC. He also wrote novels, including the co-authored The Dark Number (1973), which won the Grand Prix de littérature policière in 1975. He died on 2 May 2008 in England.
