Biography
Roger S. H. Schulman is an American screenwriter and producer. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in English and earned an MS in Journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He began his career as a journalist before moving into television and film writing.
Schulman co-wrote the screenplay for the animated feature Shrek (2001), for which he shared a British Academy Film Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and received an Academy Award nomination in the same category. His other film credits include co-writing Balto (1995) and writing or contributing to Disney projects such as The Jungle Book 2 (2003) and Mulan II (2004). He has also worked extensively in television as a writer and producer on series including Living Single, Phil of the Future and Jonas.
