Biography
Roland Bertin (1930–2024) was a French stage and film actor. He began his career in 1955 with the Elliant theatre company and helped found the Théâtre de Bourgogne. He joined the Comédie-Française in 1982, becoming a sociétaire the following year and later an honorary member.
Bertin appeared in over 100 films and television productions from 1970 onwards. His screen credits include Mr. Klein (1976), Diva (1981), The Bronte Sisters (1979), Cyrano de Bergerac (1990) as Ragueneau, The Hairdresser's Husband (1990) and Bernie (1996). He received the Molière Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2009.
