Biography
Ron Clark (born 1933) is a Canadian-American playwright and screenwriter. He began writing sketches while studying at McGill University in Montreal before moving to New York City, where he wrote monologues for numerous stand-up comedians.
His television work includes episodes of The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, Silver Spoons (1985–1987) and Moonlighting (1988–1989), for which he also served as creative consultant. He co-wrote screenplays for the films Silent Movie (1976), High Anxiety (1977), Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978) and Life Stinks (1991). With Sam Bobrick he co-wrote several plays, including Norman, Is That You?, which opened on Broadway in 1970.
