Biography
Ron Eldard is an American actor. Born Ronald Jason Eldard on 20 February 1965 in Long Island, New York, he trained at the High School of Performing Arts and earned a BFA from the State University of New York at Purchase. He made his film debut in the 1989 comedy True Love.
Eldard has appeared in stage productions including Broadway runs of On the Waterfront, Biloxi Blues, Bash: Latterday Plays, Death of a Salesman and, in 2006, Doubt. His film roles include John Reilly in Sleepers (1996), Dodge in Ghost Ship (2002) and Louis Dainard in Super 8 (2011). On television he played Ray Shepard in ER (1995–1996) and Colton Rhodes in Justified (2010). He was in a relationship with actress Julianna Margulies from 1991 to 2003.
