Biography
Ron Fortunato is an American cinematographer and television director. He has worked on numerous films and television series since the late 1980s, with early credits under the name Renato Fortunato.
His film credits as director of photography include Nil by Mouth (1997), Basquiat (1996), Find Me Guilty (2006), Catch a Fire (2006) and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007). He has also served as cinematographer on series such as Gossip Girl, Elementary and Ray Donovan.
Fortunato has been a member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 1998. He directed two episodes of Gossip Girl and received a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2001 for outstanding cinematography for a multi-camera series on 100 Centre Street.
