Biography
Ronald Fraser (also credited as Ronald Gordon Fraser) was a British character actor. He appeared in numerous stage productions, films and television programmes from the 1950s to the 1990s.
Born in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, he trained at RADA, graduating in 1953. He performed with Glasgow's Citizens' Theatre and joined the Old Vic repertory company in 1954, making his first London appearance in a stage adaptation of Billy Budd. His film credits include The Sundowners (1960), The Flight of the Phoenix (1965), The Killing of Sister George (1968), The Wild Geese (1978), Trail of the Pink Panther (1982), Absolute Beginners (1986) and Scandal (1989). Television work includes Doctor Who (1963), The Misfit (1970–1971) and Minder (1985–1989).
