Biography
Ronny Graham (1919–1999) was an American actor, writer, composer and lyricist. Born Ronald Montcrief Stringer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he began performing in vaudeville as a child with his parents and later worked as a nightclub comic. He made his Broadway debut in the revue New Faces of 1952, contributing sketches and lyrics.
Graham wrote seven episodes of the series MASH (1972) and guest-starred in one. He collaborated with Mel Brooks on the screenplays for To Be or Not to Be (1983) and Spaceballs (1987), appearing in both as well as in History of the World: Part I (1981) and other Brooks films. He received a Tony Award nomination for his lyrics to the musical Bravo Giovanni* (1962) and directed several Broadway plays.
