Biography
Ronobir Lahiri is an actor and musician. He trained in sitar as a teenager in Calcutta under Sri Deepak Choudhuri and graduated from Yale University with a degree in theatre and literature.
His stage credits include an understudy role in the 1996 Broadway revival of The King and I and the title role in a production at the London Palladium. On screen, he voiced Harold in the 2023 Pixar film Elemental and has appeared in television series including 9-1-1 (as Captain Jeshan Mehta, 2021–2023), Stitchers (as Samir Ahluwalia, 2015–2017) and This Is Us (2017). Film roles include You've Got Mail (1998) and Ted 2 (2015). Lahiri also works as a composer and sitar player.
