Biography
Ruth Madeley is a British actress. She was born on 4 August 1987 in Westhoughton, Lancashire, England, and was diagnosed with spina bifida before birth. She studied scriptwriting at Edge Hill University and began acting after auditioning for a role while volunteering at the charity Whizz-Kidz.
Madeley is known for playing Rosie Lyons in the 2019 BBC/HBO series Years and Years. She received a BAFTA Television Award nomination for Best Actress for her performance in the 2015 television film Don't Take My Baby. Other credits include roles in The Rook, Doctor Who as Shirley Bingham, Brassic and Nightsleeper.
