Biography

Sabine Hoffmann (also credited as Hoffman) is a film editor. She trained in Berlin, studying philosophy, art and film history, before moving to the United States, where she has worked as an editor for over twenty years.

Her feature credits include Personal Velocity (2002), The Ballad of Jack and Rose (2005), The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009), The Last Five Years (2014), Maggie's Plan (2016), Juliet, Naked (2018), Passing (2021), She Came to Me (2023) and Ezra (2024). She edited episodes of the series Pachinko (2022). Documentary work includes Ferry Tales and The Twelve Disciples of Nelson Mandela.

Hoffmann is a member of the American Cinema Editors. She has served as a consultant and mentor for organisations including the Sundance Institute, the Gotham and Firelight Media, and is a co-producer on the documentary Coded Bias (2020).
