Biography
Samy Halfon was a French film producer of Turkish origin. He co-produced Alain Resnais's documentary short Night and Fog (1956) with Anatole Dauman and Philippe Lifchitz, and later served as delegate producer on Resnais's Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959).
Halfon joined Argos Films in the early 1950s before founding his own company, Como Films. Through Como Films he produced or co-produced several films by Alain Robbe-Grillet, including Trans-Europ-Express (1966), The Man Who Lies (1968) and Eden and After (1970). He was also involved in international co-productions across Europe and beyond.
