Biography
Sandahl Bergman is an American actress and dancer. Born on 14 November 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri, she trained as a dancer from childhood and moved to New York City in her twenties. She appeared in several Bob Fosse stage productions, including Broadway runs of Pippin, A Chorus Line and Dancin'.
Her screen career began with a featured role as a principal dancer in Bob Fosse’s All That Jazz (1979). She played Muse 1 in Xanadu (1980) and gained wider recognition as Valeria in Conan the Barbarian (1982), for which she received a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress and a Saturn Award. Subsequent film roles include Queen Gedren in Red Sonja (1985).
