Biography
Sara Canning is a Canadian actress. She was born on 14 July 1987 in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, and raised partly in Sherwood Park, Alberta. She studied general arts at the University of Alberta before training at Vancouver Film School, from which she graduated in 2007.
Canning is known for her role as Jenna Sommers in the television series The Vampire Diaries (2009–2017). She appeared as Lake in the film War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) and as Jacquelyn Scieszka in the Netflix series A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017–2018). Other credits include Primeval: New World (2012–2013), Remedy (2014–2015) and Level 16 (2018).
