Biography
Sara Gilbert is an American actress. Born Sara Rebecca Abeles on 29 January 1975 in Santa Monica, California, she is the half-sister of actors Melissa Gilbert and Jonathan Gilbert. She graduated from Yale University in 1997 with a degree in art.
Gilbert is best known for portraying Darlene Conner on the series Roseanne (1988–1997; 2018) and its sequel The Conners (2018–2025), for which she also served as an executive producer. She created and co-hosted the daytime talk show The Talk (2010–2019). Her other television credits include a recurring role as Leslie Winkle on The Big Bang Theory (2007–2016).
