Biography
Scott Capurro is an American comedian, writer and actor born in San Francisco on 10 December 1962. He is based in San Francisco and performs stand-up material that often addresses gay life and culture, politics, race and popular culture.
His film credits include the role of Jack in Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and the voice of Beed Annodue in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999). He also appeared in the television series Nash Bridges. In 1994 Capurro won the Perrier Award for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for his solo show Risk-Gay.
He has written and performed numerous one-man shows and has stage credits including Emory in The Boys in the Band (1990) at Theater Rhinoceros. Capurro trained at UC Irvine, where he received a bachelor's degree, and at Birmingham University in the UK.
