Biography

Scott Conrad is an American film editor. He began his career in 1964 at 20th Century Fox, starting in the mail room and advancing through the editorial department. He worked as an assistant editor on films including The Long Goodbye (1973) before receiving his first solo editing credits on low-budget features such as Messiah of Evil (1975) and A Boy and His Dog (1975).

In 1976, Conrad co-edited Rocky with Richard Halsey; their work earned the Academy Award for Best Film Editing. He has since edited numerous films, including Up in Smoke (1978), Cheech & Chong's Next Movie (1980), Cat's Eye (1985), The Wraith (1986) and Class of 1999 (1990). Conrad lives in Nashville with his wife, Aissa Wayne Conrad.
