Biography
Scott Gold is an American television writer and producer. He previously worked as a journalist for 22 years, mainly as a national correspondent and senior writer at the Los Angeles Times.
Gold grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, and holds a degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As part of a team at the Los Angeles Times, he shared the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for coverage of municipal corruption; he was also a Pulitzer finalist in 2014.
His television credits include writing episodes of Law & Order (2024–2026), Chicago P.D. (2019–2024), Under the Dome (2013), StartUp (2016) and The Long Road Home (2017). He has served as co-executive producer on Law & Order and Chicago P.D..
