Biography
Sean Maher is an American actor. Born on 16 April 1975 in Pleasantville, New York, he trained at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a drama degree in 1997. He began his career with leading roles in short-lived series including Ryan Caulfield: Year One (1999) and The $treet (2000–2001), and appeared in Party of Five.
Maher is best known for portraying Simon Tam in the science fiction series Firefly (2002) and its 2005 feature film sequel Serenity. He has since taken guest roles in series such as The Mentalist, Arrow and The Rookie, and provided the voice of Dick Grayson / Nightwing in several DC animated films including Son of Batman (2014) and Justice League vs. Teen Titans (2016). In 2016 he married his partner Paul.
