Biography
Semu Filipo is a New Zealand actor of Samoan and Tokelauan descent. He graduated from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in 2004 with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Acting.
Filipo has appeared in New Zealand theatre productions and television series including Shortland Street (2007–2025) as Grunter/Taito Fuamatu and Young Rock (2021). His film credits include Show of Hands (2008), The Justice of Bunny King (2021) as Jah, Next Goal Wins (2023) as Rambo, The Fall Guy (2024) as Mike Mike, and The Rule of Jenny Pen (2024) as Coach.
