Biography
Shannon Cochran is an American actress. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, she graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and has maintained a long association with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago. Her stage work includes originating roles in world premieres such as Bug and appearances in productions at the Goodman Theatre and Writers' Theatre.
On screen, she played Anna Morgan in The Ring (2002) and Senator Tal'aura in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002). Television credits include guest roles in Grey's Anatomy (2006), The Office (2005), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2004), Fringe (2010), Modern Family (2016), NCIS (2014) and earlier appearances in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1994) and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1994–1997).
Cochran received an Obie Award and a Theatre World Award for her stage performance in Bug. She has also taught acting at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company schools.
