Biography
Shannon Leto is an American musician and actor. Born on 9 March 1970 in Bossier City, Louisiana, he is best known as the drummer and co-founder, with his brother Jared Leto, of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, formed in Los Angeles in 1998.
Leto has occasional acting credits, including the role of Shane in two episodes of the television series My So-Called Life (1994). He also appeared in Prefontaine (1997), Highway (2002) and TRON: Ares (2025). The band achieved commercial success with albums including A Beautiful Lie (2005) and This Is War (2009).
