Biography
Sheldon Stark (1909–1997) was an American writer whose credits include radio serials, syndicated cartoons, television episodes and stage plays.
He contributed teleplays and stories to The Fugitive (1963), including four episodes in 1964, and a story for Mission: Impossible (1966) in 1970. Other television work encompassed episodes of Batman (1966), The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964), Land of the Giants (1968), The Waltons (1972) and Quincy, M.E. (1977). He received a Writers Guild of America nomination for episodic drama for his work on The Waltons.
Stark began his career writing radio serials and later for syndicated cartoons. He was blacklisted in the early 1950s and wrote the Off-Broadway play Time of Storm, which addressed the dangers of McCarthyism. He taught screenwriting at UCLA and other institutions.
