Biography
Shōgo Tomiyama is a Japanese film producer. He joined Toho in 1975 and worked in the publicity department before becoming a producer at Toho Pictures in 1983. He first contributed to the Godzilla series as producer on Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989), assisting executive producer Tomoyuki Tanaka, and held the same role on Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991), Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992) and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993).
Following Tanaka’s death in 1997, Tomiyama served as executive producer on the six Millennium-era Godzilla films from Godzilla 2000: Millennium (1999) to Godzilla: Final Wars (2004). He was president of Toho Pictures from 2004 to 2010.
