Biography

Si Bell, also credited as Simon Bell, is a British cinematographer and member of the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC). He trained at Northumbria University, where he studied Media Production, and began his career as a camera trainee on the drama series Wire in the Blood. He has worked extensively in both film and high-end television.

Bell is known for his work as director of photography on series including Peaky Blinders (2019), The Serpent (2021), A Very British Scandal (2021) and The Woman in the Wall (2023), as well as feature films such as Electricity (2014) and In Darkness (2018). He served as cinematographer on episodes of the 2025 series MobLand. He has received nominations for awards including BAFTAs and an RTS craft award.
