Biography
Signe Egholm Olsen is a Danish actress. She trained at the Danish National School of Theatre, graduating in 2003, and made her stage debut that year as Ophelia in Hamlet at Kronborg Castle in Helsingør.
Her breakthrough came in 2005 with the lead role of Maria in Ole Christian Madsen's Nordkraft. She appeared as Sonja in the 2007 American film Into the Wild and has since taken roles in Danish productions including Broderskab (2009), Sandheden om mænd (2010) and the series Borgen (2010–2022) as Anne Sofie Lindenkrone. Other credits include Pagten (2009), Breeder (2020) and The Chestnut Man (2021).
Olsen has received several awards, including the Ove Sprogøe-prisen in 2009, a Reumert for best female lead in 2010, and the Lauritzen-prisen in 2022. She was appointed Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog in 2021.
