Biography
Simon Amstell is an English comedian, writer, director, actor and television presenter. He co-wrote an episode of the series Skins in 2007.
Amstell presented Popworld on Channel 4 from 2000 to 2006 and Never Mind the Buzzcocks on BBC Two from 2006 to 2009. He created, co-wrote and starred in the BBC Two sitcom Grandma's House (2010–2012). He wrote and directed the films Carnage (2017) and Benjamin (2018).
Born Simon Marc Amstell on 29 November 1979 in Gants Hill, Essex, he began performing stand-up comedy as a teenager.
