Biography
Simon Cadell (19 July 1950 – 6 March 1996) was an English actor. He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and began his career in the theatre, including work with the National Youth Theatre.
He is known for voicing Blackberry in the animated film Watership Down (1978) and for playing Jeffrey Fairbrother in the first five series of the BBC sitcom Hi-de-Hi! (1980–1984). Other television roles included appearances in Enemy at the Door (1978–1980) and Life Without George (1987–1989). He also narrated the children's series Bump (1990–1994).
Cadell was married to actress Rebecca Croft, daughter of comedy writer and producer David Croft.
