Biography

Simon Manyonda is a British actor. Born in 1986 in London, he trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), graduating a term early to join a Royal National Theatre production of Moira Buffini's Welcome to Thebes directed by Richard Eyre.

Manyonda is known for roles including Kabel in Doctor Who (2015), Benjamin De Ruyter in His Dark Materials (2019), Lucius Fox in Pennyworth (2020–2022), Nathan in Rye Lane (2023) and Jackson in Eric (2024). His film credits also include The Current War (2018), In Fabric (2018) and The Witches (2020). He received an Ian Charleson Award Commendation for his 2012 performance as Lucius in Julius Caesar at the Royal Shakespeare Company and serves as a board member for Theatre Peckham.
