Biography
Simon Mayhew-Archer is a British television producer and writer. He produced the BBC Three mockumentary series This Country (2017–2020) across all three series and contributed to the story on several episodes. He also produced the earlier BBC Three sitcom Josh (2015–2017).
He began his career in BBC radio comedy before moving into television. After This Country, he left the BBC to co-found Camden Productions and later launched Mayhay Studios, his own scripted comedy production company. He has served as executive producer on series including Such Brave Girls (2023) and Funboys (2025–2026), and created, wrote and produced the BBC One sitcom Can You Keep a Secret? (2026).
Mayhew-Archer is the son of comedy writer Paul Mayhew-Archer. This Country won a BAFTA Award.
