Biography
Spencer Brown is an English actor, comedian, writer and director. Born on 15 January 1978 in Lichfield, Staffordshire, he studied philosophy at the University of Cambridge, where he performed with the Footlights alongside Matthew Holness, Richard Ayoade and John Oliver.
He is known for television roles including the Patient in Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (2004) and Rufus Onslatt in Nathan Barley (2005). Brown wrote and directed the feature film T.I.M. (2023) and appeared in Shed of the Dead (2019) as Trevor. He co-hosted ITV2's Lip Service with Holly Willoughby and released the stand-up album Things I Don't Have To Do in 2006. He is married to novelist Sarah Govett, with whom he worked on the script for T.I.M..
