Biography

Stefan Pleszczynski is a Canadian film and television director, producer and screenwriter. He is an alumnus of Concordia University and Simon Fraser University. Before directing, he worked as a location manager on films including Squanto: A Warrior's Tale (1994) and Johnny Mnemonic (1995).

Pleszczynski has directed episodes of numerous television series, including Being Human (2011–2014), Flashpoint (2008–2012), Motive (2013–2015), Supernatural (2014–2016), The Flash (2015–2023), Killjoys (2016–2019) and Transplant (2020–2024). He has also served as a producer or executive producer on several of these programmes. His feature film credits include L'Espérance (2004).

He has received Canadian Screen Award nominations for direction and series, including a win for Best Dramatic Series for Transplant in 2022. Pleszczynski lives in Montreal and is married to screenwriter Bernadette Gogula.
