Biography
Stella Gonet is a Scottish actress who works in theatre, film and television. She trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and began her career in the mid-1980s.
She is known for her leading role as Beatrice Eliott in the BBC series The House of Eliott (1991–94) and for stage performances including Ophelia in the National Theatre’s 1989 revival of Hamlet. Film roles include the Queen in Spencer (2021) and Margaret Thatcher in El Conde (2023). She appears as Jenny in 28 Years Later (2025).
Gonet has also appeared in television series including Holby City (2007–09), Breeders (2020–23) and Call the Midwife (2023). She is married to actor Nicholas Farrell.
