Biography
Steve Day is an American assistant director and occasional director. He began working in the sound department after film school and has been an assistant director since the late 1980s. He joined the Directors Guild of America in 1993.
Day has served as first assistant director on numerous films and series, including The Lego Movie (2014), Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016), Wine Country (2019) and Platonic (2023). He has directed episodes of the series The Last Man on Earth (2015) and The Good Place (2016).
