Biography
Steve Jablonsky is an American composer for film, television and video games. Born on 9 October 1970 in Los Angeles, he studied at the University of California, Berkeley, initially in computer science before switching to music composition. After graduating he interned at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions and later worked as an assistant to Harry Gregson-Williams.
Jablonsky is best known for his scores for the Transformers film series, including Transformers (2007), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) and Transformers: The Last Knight (2017). He has frequently collaborated with director Michael Bay on films such as The Island (2005), Battleship (2012) and Pain & Gain (2013). Other credits include Ender’s Game (2013), Red Notice (2021) and Skyscraper (2018), as well as the television series Desperate Housewives and music for the video game The Sims 3.
