Biography
Ehren Kruger is an American screenwriter and producer. Born on 5 October 1972 in Alexandria, Virginia, he attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts in 1993 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
His screenwriting credits include Arlington Road (1999), Scream 3 (2000), The Ring (2002), The Ring Two (2005), The Brothers Grimm (2005), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), Ghost in the Shell (2017), Dumbo (2019), Top Gun: Maverick (2022) and F1 (2025), on which he also received a story credit. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Top Gun: Maverick.
Kruger received the Nicholl Fellowship from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1996. He has also worked as a producer on several films, including Dumbo.
