Biography
Michael Bay is an American film director and producer, also credited as Michael Benjamin Bay. Born on 17 February 1965 in Los Angeles, California, he studied at Wesleyan University and began his career directing music videos and television advertisements.
He directed action films including Bad Boys (1995) and its sequel, The Rock (1996), Armageddon (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001) and the first five Transformers films (2007–2017). As a producer his credits include Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023), Transformers One (2024) and A Quiet Place: Day One (2024). He co-founded the production company Platinum Dunes.
