Biography

Jerry Bruckheimer is an American film and television producer. He began working in advertising after college before moving into film production in the 1970s.

In the 1980s and 1990s he partnered with producer Don Simpson; their collaboration ended with Simpson's death in 1996. Bruckheimer produced Days of Thunder (1990) and The Rock (1996), as well as the Pirates of the Caribbean, Top Gun, Bad Boys and National Treasure film series. His television credits include executive producing Lucifer (2016–) and the CSI franchise.

In 2023, Top Gun: Maverick (2022) earned him a nomination for Best Picture at the 95th Academy Awards.
