Biography
Steve Mason is an Australian cinematographer born in 1954 in Sydney, New South Wales. He has worked extensively in feature films and television, often credited as Stephen Mason.
Mason served as director of photography on four episodes of the series Mad Men in 2007. His other credits include Strictly Ballroom (1992), To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995), BASEketball (1998), Rollerball (2002), Basic (2003), Harsh Times (2005) and Venom (2005). He has also shot episodes of Castle (2013) and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (2016).
A member of the American Society of Cinematographers and the Australian Cinematographers Society, Mason is married to Ann Murtha.
