Biography
Steve Reevis (1962–2017) was a Blackfeet Native American actor. Born in Browning, Montana, he attended Flandreau Indian School and Haskell Indian Junior College in Kansas before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting.
Reevis made his film debut in Twins (1988) and appeared in Dances with Wolves (1990) and Geronimo: An American Legend (1993). He is best known for playing Shep Proudfoot in the Coen brothers' Fargo (1996). Other credits include The Longest Yard (2005) and television appearances in Malcolm in the Middle and JAG. He received awards from First Americans in the Arts for his work in Fargo and Crazy Horse (1996).
