Biography
Steven J. Jordan is a production designer and former set decorator. A Manhattan native whose father worked as an assistant director in commercials and whose mother was a script supervisor, he initially trained in music at Juilliard before moving into props and set decoration on films and commercials in New York.
He worked as set decorator on features including Stardust Memories (1980) and Arthur (1981), and as art director on Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992). His first production design credit was Untamed Heart (1993), followed by Rookie of the Year (1993). He is credited as production designer on Clueless (1995), The Brady Bunch Movie (1995), Good Burger (1997), BASEketball (1998), A Night at the Roxbury (1998), Never Been Kissed (1999), Loser (2000), Raising Helen (2004), Hide and Seek (2005) and The Stepfather (2009).
Jordan has designed numerous television series, including Third Watch, Parenthood and Good Girls. He has cited mentors such as production designer Mel Bourne.
